Free UTM Link Builder
Build campaign links with UTM parameters in seconds. Consistent naming, instant copy, no sign-up and nothing stored.
Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you enter is stored.
How to build a UTM link
Enter the page you want to send people to, then fill in the source, medium and campaign. Term and content are optional. The finished link updates as you type, and you can copy it or open it to check. If your address already has a question mark and other parameters, they are kept and the UTM tags are added to them.
What each parameter means
- utm_source: where the visit comes from, such as a newsletter name, a website or a social network.
- utm_medium: the type of channel, such as email, social, cpc or referral.
- utm_campaign: the name of the campaign, promotion or launch.
- utm_term: the paid keyword, mostly for search ads.
- utm_content: tells apart links in the same campaign, for example two buttons or two ad versions.
Naming rules that keep reports clean
Analytics tools treat Newsletter and newsletter as two different values, so one typo splits your data. Pick a naming style and stick to it. Lowercase everything, use underscores instead of spaces and keep a shared list of the sources and mediums your team uses. This builder can lowercase and replace spaces for you. Do not put UTM tags on links between pages of your own site, because they can overwrite the real source of a visit.
Nothing is stored
The link is built in your browser. We do not save your addresses or campaign names.
FAQ
Yes. No sign-up, no limits and nothing is saved.
Google Analytics asks for source, medium and campaign to report a campaign properly. Term and content are optional.
Yes, it is the safest choice, because values are case sensitive in reports. The lowercase option is on by default.
Not when the page sets a canonical link to the clean address, which most sites do. Use UTM tags for links you place outside your own site, such as emails, ads and social posts.
