Free QR Code Generator

Make a QR code for a link, text, Wi-Fi, email, phone or SMS. No sign-up, no watermark, no expiry. Download as PNG or SVG.

Everything happens in your browser. What you type is never uploaded or stored.

How to make a QR code

Choose what the code is for, fill in the details and your QR code appears right away. Pick colors and a size, then download it as a PNG for screens and printing, or as an SVG if it needs to stay sharp at any size, for example on a poster or a sticker.

Are these QR codes permanent?

Yes. These are static QR codes: the information is written into the pattern itself. Nothing goes through our servers, so there is no redirect, no expiry date, no scan limit and no account. The code keeps working as long as the link or details inside it stay valid. The trade-off is that a static code cannot be edited later, so if a link may change, point the code to a page you control.

Tips for a code that scans well

  • Keep strong contrast. A dark code on a light background is the safest choice, and light-on-dark codes fail on some scanners.
  • Leave the empty border around the code (the quiet zone). Do not crop it.
  • If you add a logo, keep it small. The generator switches to the highest error correction, which lets a scanner rebuild the part the logo covers.
  • Print it at least 2 cm (about 0.8 inch) wide and test it with a phone before printing many copies.

FAQ

Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark, no scan limit and no expiry date.

No. The code is created in your browser and what you type is not sent to our servers.

PNG works everywhere and is fine for screens and most printing. SVG is a vector file, so it stays sharp at any size and suits large prints and design work.

No. A static code holds its content permanently. To keep the option of changing the destination, make the code point to a link you control and update that page instead.
